This is a full time position. Sager Metal employs Assembly personnel to perform the assembling of conveyance machinery. The Assembler will complete assembly, breakdown, packing and area housekeeping. The Assembly employee will report to the Production Manager and will work closely with Project Managers.
Assemble conveyors using various machines and tools.
Breakdown assembled units for shipping schedule and instructions.
Stage components for shipping.
Address punch list items.
Conduct activities in a safe and healthy manner and work in accordance with established safety and company requirements.
Perform set-up, material handling duties, and minor general maintenance.
Participate in the process of continuous improvement.
Occasionally Travel domestically and internationally.
Education requirements, certifications, work experience
Promote a positive working environment in order to achieve the organization’s goals Education and Experience:
High School Diploma or G.E.D is preferred.
One to two years of manufacturing experience is preferred High mechanical aptitude is required.
Read and understand a tape measure.
Experience with hand tools and assembling prints is required.
Ability to read mechanical drawings is preferred Tool requirements per list are required Problem solving skills are required.
Ability to work flexible hours with some weekend and holiday work required.
Must possess the ability to interact effectively with all levels of personnel, both hourly and management in a team environment.
